The Next Chapter of Get Funded!

Dear GetFunded! Subscribers,

My name is Kevin Moore and I am the founder and General Partner of Serac Ventures. I started Serac Ventures to level the playing field in venture capital and to create a firm that seeks to back the best and brightest founders from all backgrounds. Founders shouldn’t need to “know” someone to get what they need to grow their companies. Venture capital should be accessible to all, and our mission at Serac Ventures is to play our role in making that happen.

Over the last several months you have received weekly emails with meaningful content that includes insights from founders, venture capitalists, and other people and resources that have hopefully helped you along your company building journey. In an effort to add even more value, we're changing the format of Get Funded to ensure it remains a great resource for you.

First, Get Funded Live Office Hours will be hosted once a month. I will lead these sessions and provide founders with an opportunity to dive deeper into what we're looking for at Serac Ventures specifically, and what other venture capitalists are looking for generally. I've worked in finance and venture capital for 18 years, so I plan to invite top finance and venture capital professionals from my network to share their experiences growing their firms and becoming top leaders in their fields.

Second, the Get Funded Newsletter will be released on a monthly basis as well. I'm a proponent of delivering high-quality, easy-to-digest content that is both useful and beneficial. Such content may include investor education series, industry analyses, and/or general recommendations for growing your company. The most critical part of growing a company isn't starting it; it's creating a repeatable process to generate favorable outcomes through discipline, focus, and strategic thinking. Our goal at Serac Ventures is to help you in this regard.
